What is Reiki?
Reiki is universal healing energy. A reiki practitioner channels this energy for the healing and health of their patient. At the core of all existence is energy. Even the seemingly solid granite and the slender blade of grass are vibrating particles of energy. Though each differs, the energy which forms them is the same; it is the rate of vibration which differs. Thus we are truly one with all creation; the energy which brings us life is universal and boundless. To the Japanese this life force energy is ki, to the Hindus prana, and to the Chinese it is chi. The Reiki therapist has been attuned to the spiritually guided channeling of ki. Through sensitive but deliberate touch, life-enhancing energy is directed to the client, balancing all levels of existence - the physical, the emotional, the mental, and the spiritual.
Dr. Fresne has been practicing and teaching Reiki since 1996. She has treated and instructed over 300 students and patients using the Usui method of Reiki.
Class runs from 12:30pm to 5:30pm. Reiki 1 includes the history of Reiki, attunement, and hands on healing experience. All participants will receive hand-outs and a companion book on Reiki. Beginners are welcome to attend Reiki 1.
Reiki 2 allows for a more powerful healing at mental and emotional levels. It includes an attunement to second level Reiki and three symbols. This level utilizes a greater degree of energy. These symbols are like keys that open doors to higher levels of awareness/manifestation. They are used for empowerment, protection, clearing and balancing energy, and sending distance healing. Participants will be guided through to hands-on healing experience. Students who have completed Reiki 1 are welcome to attend Reiki 2.
Reiki 3 is the Reiki Master level, the full spectrum of Reiki energy. Participants are attuned to three symbols and feel new and more powerful healing experiences with a stronger connection to guidance. Students who have completed Reiki 2 are welcome to attend Reiki 3.

Shamanism Workshop in Chicago
With Dr. Jane Fresne, D.N.Deepen your connection with Yourself and Mother Earth through shamanism as learned from the Peruvian tradition. The wisdom which permeates these teachings brings us back to our center, reminds us of our bond with the Earth, and our interconnection with one another. Shamanic practices include healing ceremonies for individuals and the Earth, and cultivating awareness of guidance through meditation, time with nature, vision quests and inner journeys in order to reconnect with the Divinity in all.
Create a mesa/altar as a tool for healing and transformation. Reawaken and explore your powerful intuition through indigenous spirituality and connection to Divine energy.
In our busy lives, it is an invaluable asset to take the time to accept ourselves entirely, feel grounded and gain a sense of belonging. These practices help awaken us to the sacred reciprocity within all creation.
